Runwell 15M8 axle bolts

Runwell 15M8 axle bolts

Another brilliant, long-overdue creation from the masterminds at Runwell Japan!

The 15M8 is an M8 x 1.25 bolt, machined from solid cro-mo steel and developed specifically for hubs that are secured with an M8 axle bolt (ie: Phil Wood, Paul Comp, Mack, etc.), and can be tightened using a 15mm wrench.

These also feature an independently rotating washer like traditional track axle nuts, for incredibly secure installation. Genius!

Sold in pairs for front or rear hubs.

Please note that front and rear bolts have slightly different specifications. Both have M8 threading, but the diameter of the unthreaded shoulder that fits in the dropout is 9mm for the front and 10mm for the rear.

Specifications

• made in Japan

• weight: 66g front / 68g rear

Paul Comp hub compatibility

Depending on the thickness of your dropouts, you may need to cut 5mm off the length of the threads to prevent them from bottoming out inside of your axle before being completely tightened. This can be done fairly easily using a hacksaw, grinder or Dremel.
